You and me

I meet you with full appreciation and as an authentic person. In a trusting atmosphere, you can address topics that move you, thoughts that occupy you, problems for which there seems to be no solution. Together we will find ways to help you deal with your experiences differently and to take alternative paths.

You can also reflect on your previous path, question yourself without having to pretend. Honestly and bluntly, you can begin to look at all your sides, including the shadow sides, accept them, even appreciate them, and ultimately change yourself in the direction you want. Your ability to deal with difficulties and crises typically improves.

I offer you a safe space in which you can discover who you truly are.

Psychotherapy

The goal of psychotherapy is to heal or alleviate psychological suffering, to provide help in life crises, and to promote personal development and health.

Person-centered psychotherapy

Person-centered psychotherapy, also known as client-centered therapy, focuses on each person’s inherent resources and capacity to grow and to deal with problems in an individual way. I, as a person-centered psychotherapist, assume that all solutions are already within you and I create a setting in which these solutions can come to light. Within this framework, your organism continues to develop in a constructive way.

Body and mind

There is a wide range of interrelationships between a person’s life circumstances, feelings, and thoughts, and their body. Psychological conflicts can manifest as physical symptoms. Conversely, physical processes can affect a person so strongly on an emotional level that they may develop psychological distress or illness. In the course of psychotherapy, we work together to identify what is troubling you and how you would like to deal with it.

Talking and experiencing

The conversation is always at the center of our work together. In addition, a wide range of “techniques” is available that may be helpful for you. Examples include working with dreams, noticing the body’s signals (focusing), using inner imagery, family constellations, creative expression, EFT (Emotional Focused Therapy) and more.

Walk and Talk

A special form of psychotherapy is walk-and-talk therapy. For some people, it is easier to engage with their own issues while taking a walk together in nature. I am happy to accompany you in this process.

Movement in nature can become a source of strength. It fosters mindfulness, whether in the forest, in a park, or among fields. Physical activity and fresh air help us gain greater clarity both physically and mentally; our mind becomes calmer, and we are able to gain distance from everyday life. While walking, we begin to question fixed thoughts and feelings. Our focus on what is essential becomes sharper.

Psychotherapy is useful when…

  • your current life situation is causing you distress and may be leading to physical symptoms.

  • you feel stressed, overwhelmed, and exhausted.
  • an unfulfilled desire to have children is causing you distress.

  • anxiety, insecurity, self-doubt, compulsions, or sadness are becoming overwhelming.
  • you experience panic attacks.
  • compulsive behavior is dominating your life.
  • you feel unmotivated and are losing your interest and joy in life.
  • you increasingly withdraw, feel isolated, and experience loneliness.
  • your dreams frighten you or you suffer from sleep problems.
  • you have been suffering from heartbreak or separation distress for a longer period of time.
  • you feel overwhelmed in your role as a mother/father and increasingly unable to cope with the responsibility.
  • traumatic experiences are coming back to you or affecting you.
  • everything feels like too much for you.
  • you have the impression that you are particularly sensitive and easily affected, and that this trait shapes and makes your life more difficult (high sensitivity).
  • you want to develop personally and grow.
